Does anyone know if the 8x56R en bloc clips work with the original 8x50? I’ve heard that single loading these can break the extractor on ejection and spare parts are probably unobtainium. I’v been reloading for maybe a year now and at some point I’m going to try to load some 8x50. I was thoroughly embarrassed at the time but at least I gave the guy selling it to me a good laugh. Turns out it’s a bitch and a half to get the bolt back in so I ended up buying the rifle in two pieces. Humorously when I went to see the guy to buy it I pulled the bolt out thinking I was smart to check the bore condition.
